YouTube Graduate David Choi Is Coming Back for More

After a super warm welcome from his fans in the Big Durian last year, YouTube sensation David Choi is set to perform yet another intimate concert on May 14, at Hard Rock Café, Jakarta.  
This time he will be performing songs from his latest album “Forever and Ever.” This album, his third, has debuted at number 97 on iTunes of All Records, number two on iTunes Singer-Songwriters charts and number 16 on Heatseekers chart on Billboard.
Just like last year, the Asian-born YouTube graduate will also be spending time with fans during a meet and greet session at Plaza EX’s Atrium after the show. So, for those of you who didn’t get a chance to snap photos or have a little chat with him, this can be your chance!
 A native Los Angeles singer and songwriter, Choi has over 100,000,000 video views and hundreds of thousands of subscribers on YouTube. Offline, he has toured Canada, around the United States as well as Asia Pacific.  
 His sophomore album, “By My Side,” was one that got him popular in Indonesia, especially when his top single of the same title started airing on big radio stations of the capital.
Choi released his debut album, “Only You,” in 2008. He gained popularity online with songs from this album that he uploaded on iTunes and A year later, he released his first official music video titled “Won’t Even Start.” Since then, he has come up with lots of official videos, which are mostly romantic and whimsical.
Apart from promoting his albums, Choi also does a lot of cover songs with his simple, serene style. One of the more popular cover videos that he made is “I Gotta Feeling” by Black Eyed Peas, which was tweeted by top Hollywood actor Ashton Kutcher and posted on Facebook by American Idol presenter Ryan Seacrest.
His Asia Pacific tour will include shows in Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney, Jakarta, Manila, Kuala Lumpur, and Hong Kong.
