Two more Singaporean swimmers have earned a slot to compete at this month’s Olympic Games. Quah Zheng Wen, 15, and Mylene Ong, 20, received confirmation from Fina, swimming’s world governing body, that their Olympic “B” times were good enough for the London Games.

Zheng Wen clocked 4:21.70 to compete in the men’s 400m individual medley while Mylene’s 55.70 seconds earned her a place in the women’s 100m freestyle. They join Tao Li, who received her invitation in the 100m butterfly last month, and Joseph Schooling, who qualified with an Olympic ‘A’ time in the men’s 200m butterfly.

There are 18 athletes who have received the nod from the Singapore National Olympic Council to compete at the Olympics. This does not include Tao, Zheng Wen and Mylene.
