A TransJakarta bus caught fire on Saturday at Hotel Indonesia traffic circle in Central Jakarta, causing traffic congestion in the area.

Seven fire engines were dispatched, and the fire was reportedly put out in less than an hour.

“Seven fire engines have put out the fire that burned the TransJakarta bus with plate number B 7727 IS at HI circle. As an impact of the fire, traffic is still crowded at HI circle,” the Jakarta Police traffic unit reported at 1 p.m. on Saturday through its Twitter account, ‏@TMCPoldaMetro.

The inferno consumed the entire bus, and thick black smoke could be seen billowing up from it in pictures posted by Twitter users and retweeted by @TMCPoldaMetro.
