Meryl Streep and Tina Fey will play a mother-daughter duo in a comedy to be directed by Stanley Tucci.
“Mommy & Me” is being produced by Sony Pictures, which successfully paired Streep with another young actress, Amy Adams, in last year’s “Julie & Julia.”
Plot lines are under wraps, although the story is said to highlight the thorny and funny sides of mother-daughter relationships.
Tucci, whose directing credits include “Big Night” and “Blind Date,” co-starred with Streep in “Julie & Julia” and “The Devil Wears Prada.” It’s unclear at this time if Tucci would appear in the movie.
Fey’s recent film “Date Night,” grossed $98 million at the US box office.
