Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle politician Aria Bima urged the true star of a widely-circulated sex video to come forward on Wednesday as he threatened to file a defamation suit against the Indonesian Web site — the alleged source of the scandalous video.

The video, which was posted on the Web site earlier this week, reportedly featured a man who bears a striking resemblance to Aria and an unidentified —but politically connected — woman having sex. Aria not only denied starring in the sex tape on Wednesday, but also claimed to know the real star’s identity.

According to Aria, the man in the video is E.G.M., the owner of, The PDI-P lawmaker urged E.G.M. to come forward and set the story straight.

“Otherwise, I will report it to the police,” Aria said in a press conference at the House of Representatives complex. “I will report the owner of Web site for defamation, because that Web site [was the first to] bring [the video] to the public.”

The Web site was blocked — presumably by the Indonesian government — shortly after the news broke, but eight stills taken from the sex tape have been widely circulated online.

The woman featured in the video, identified only as K.M.H., is reportedly a PDI-P party member and the daughter of a governor in Kalimantan. Aria told reporters on Wednesday that he knew the woman in the video, adding that he was close with her husband and child.

Experts and politicians have weighed in on the sex tape scandal on Tuesday, with some admitting that the man did look a lot like Aria while others doubted the claims. The National Police said they were investigating the video on Wednesday.

Aria said that he wanted E.G.M. to step forward and end the speculation.

“My family clearly is shock,” he said. “[This] clarification will rehabilitate the psychological impact toward my wife and children.”
