Seven–time Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong said Sunday he’ll tackle another Xterra all–terrain three–discipline race in Hawaii next week.
“Xterra World Champs next wknd. I’m in! Looking fwd to racing,” Armstrong said via Twitter on Sunday, a week before the swimming, cycling and running competition in Maui.
Last month Armstrong was fifth in an Xterra race in Utah.
He completed the 1,500–meter swim, a 28 km mountain bike ride and 9.8 km trail run in 2 hours, 29 minutes, 25 seconds.
The event in Hawaii features a 1,500–meter swim, 29.5 km mountain bike ride and a 9.8 km run that covers terrain ranging from forest trails to sandy beaches.
